Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s official Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. STBR does not accept submissions by email, through third-party agencies, or via intermediaries. Only manuscripts submitted directly by the author(s) through the journal’s official website will be considered for review. The corresponding author is responsible for completing the submission process and ensuring that all required information is accurate, complete, and compliant with journal policies.

1 Author Registration

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must register for an account within the journal’s OJS system. Registration requires accurate professional information, including full name, institutional affiliation, and a valid email address (institutional email addresses are strongly preferred). Authors who already possess an account may log in using existing credentials. Each author profile should be maintained accurately, as submission metadata are used for DOI registration, indexing, and final publication records.

2 Preparation of Submission Files

The submission must include an anonymized manuscript file prepared in accordance with the journal’s Manuscript Preparation guidelines.

To preserve the integrity of the double-anonymized peer review process, the manuscript file must not contain:

  • Author names;
  • Institutional affiliations;
  • Acknowledgements;
  • Self-identifying references;
  • Metadata revealing author identity.

Author names, affiliations, and contact information must be entered exclusively within the submission system’s designated metadata fields. If a manuscript contains identifying information, it may be returned to the authors for correction prior to review.

3 Entry of Manuscript Metadata

During submission, authors must provide complete and accurate metadata, including:

  • Title of the manuscript;
  • Abstract;
  • Keywords;
  • Author names in publication order;
  • Institutional affiliations;
  • Corresponding author details;
  • ORCID iD (strongly encouraged).

Accuracy at this stage is critical. Errors in author names, institutional details, or order of authorship may result in indexing inaccuracies if the manuscript is accepted.

4 Author Declarations and Compliance Confirmation

Prior to finalizing submission, authors must confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere;
  • All listed authors approve submission;
  • Ethical requirements have been satisfied;
  • Conflicts of interest have been disclosed;
  • Necessary permissions for third-party materials have been obtained.

Submission to STBR constitutes agreement with the journal’s Publication Ethics & Editorial Policies, Open Access, Copyright & Archiving policies, and Author Responsibilities & Legal Policies. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in rejection at any stage of the editorial process.

5 Editorial Screening

Following submission, the manuscript undergoes preliminary assessment by the editorial office. This screening evaluates:

  • Alignment with the journal’s disciplinary scope;
  • Academic relevance and contribution;
  • Methodological soundness;
  • Language clarity and scholarly presentation;
  • Compliance with formatting requirements;
  • Ethical transparency and required disclosures;
  • Proper anonymization.

Manuscripts that do not meet minimum standards may be declined without external peer review or returned for technical correction. Only manuscripts that pass editorial screening proceed to formal peer review.
